About the Prints

MATTED FINE ART PRINTS

Archival quality prints are matted and signed- John writes the title of each work and signs each mat. The matted photographs are then packed into crystal clear, re-sealable presentation envelopes, and shipped or mailed in a sturdy, flat box, adequately cushioned. White is the standard color that John provides for the mats. NOTE: each photograph is custom printed and can take several days to produce before shipping.

PRINTS ON ALUMINUM

A beautiful and elegant presentation- without glass, ready to hang.

See John's YouTube video about printing on aluminum, here.

This is high definition, photographic imaging on aluminum using a unique imaging technology much like giclee the process used embeds the image into the coated finish of the aluminum. The result is a much wider gamut of colors that are richer and brighter than traditional professional grade prints with unmatched depth of field. The quality of the reproduction is in a league of it's own. Several colleges that develop media for inkjet manufacturers state that this process is the highest quality media available for imaging today and nothing else compares.

Prints on aluminum come ready to hang, with a 'floating' spacer block which makes the work appear to float away from the wall by a little more than half an inch, providing an elegant presntation. The depth is narrow enough that if a frame is ever wanted, the option of having them framed is always available to you.

What is the durability of the process?

The coatings and materials have been engineered to provide a long life comparable to photographic prints and they should be treated similarly. Indirect sunlight is fine, but the materials are not specifically designed for direct sunlight or outdoor use. The hard, glossy coating resists scratching and won't break like glass would, making it light and easy to ship. They are sent in a double, padded box and are insured. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.

How do I clean aluminum prints?

You should use a microfiber towel for the best results along with clean water.

These prints are Environmentally Green and the finish is Environmentally Friendly.
